We're hiring! Apply to be GO's next Executive Director

About Golden Opportunity

This fall (2019), GO will begin its 15th year tutoring and mentoring children in the Ithaca City School District who would not otherwise have access to one-on-one tutoring. Most of our dedicated tutors, who are primarily retired educators, begin working with a student in the second grade and continue with that student throughout their elementary school years. This continuity of service, along with the trust, insight, and compassion established between tutors and students over time, makes GO unique and effective.

Job Title: Executive Director

Organization Description: Golden Opportunity (GO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing free, one-on-one tutoring and mentorship to students in the Ithaca City School District (ICSD) who would not otherwise have access to "private" tutoring support. Our program serves students in grades 2-8 and is available at every elementary and middle school in the ICSD.

Over the past two years, GO has reinforced its infrastructure and strategic direction and is looking for a leader to help grow the organization while maintaining its core values.
